Light on Hitch offers a fresh look at Hitchcock’s legacy as its aim is to show the influence his work has on contemporary cinematography. The festival is therefore not so much a retrospective of his films, as it is a parallelism between his work and this of current filmmakers.

Hitchcock has indeed, with his cinematic style and storytelling expertise, inspired a new generation of filmmakers and revolutionized the thriller genre, making him a legend around the world.

As part of the programme, we propose screenings of Hitchcock’s films from his most prolific period together with movies from directors inspired by the Master.

We are also keen to announce that the festival will gather top contemporary filmmakers who will discuss and analyze Hitchcock’s cinematographic mastery during fascinating workshops.
